Pastor Tom Griffith
PastorPastor Tom Griffith
Tom is originally from a small town in south-western Pennsylvania, USA. He received the call to preach aged ten years while seeing a vision of ‘Christ carrying the Cross’ at the Methodist Church in his home town. He accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Saviour at age 13 during a youth ministry and immediately went on to lead five other boys to Christ on the same night (using Romans 10:9-10).
Tom received the Baptism in Holy Spirit in an Assembly of God Church in North Carolina and went on to preach his first sermon ‘Being True to Christ’ at a Men’s Breakfast a year later. After completing training with the AOG in the late 80s and then undertaking ministerial studies with Global University, he moved to the United Kingdom to work as an engineer. He was ordained as a reverend at NLIC in 2017
Tom’s particular interests are to study Biblical prophecy and archaeology, as well as Church history, especially Pentecostal Revivals. He has a passion for Israel; the Jewish people, and for serving through marriage and family counselling.
He is called to New Life in Christ, primarily to glorify God; but also to help build up the church; to reach those who don’t yet know Jesus Christ personally, and to exercise a ministry of compassion to those, who are hurting. He serves on the ministry team as a pastor and a teacher.
He has been married to Lynnette, from North Carolina for approaching three decades, together they have seven children, more than twenty grandchildren, and a growing number of great-grandchildren.
Tom loves UK history, the Beatles and science fiction, especially Star Trek. A little known fact is that he has met the original Captain Kirk, aka William Shatner, on several occasions!
